Traditional Marketing: Why You Should Reconsider It

Traditional Marketing: Why You Should Reconsider It

Fifteen years ago businesses didn’t have the luxury of online advertising and the ability to reach their target audience through search engines, display ads, social media or YouTube pre-roll. If you wanted to get your message out, you could pick between radio, TV, direct mail and print – traditional marketing as it is known today. While digital marketing has greatly expanded the opportunity and significantly decreased the costs to reach your target audience , there is still great value to traditional marketing.

The problem: it comes with a significant cost.

With the average price of a 30-second commercial for prime-time television coming in at approximately $172,793, radio campaigns costing $200 or more per spot and requiring at least 100 spots to be effective, and billboards ranging from $3,000-$23,000 (or higher) for four weeks, not many businesses can afford or should pay for traditional marketing.

N2Q loves helping small businesses discover new ways to market themselves and stand out from their competitors. We were recently approached by Zeusvision to explore a way for businesses to share their message with the masses in some of the most sought after locations – like Rodeo Drive or Times Square. Locations that normally cost $100,000 a month or higher are now attainable for any business or individual. Zeusvision will remove the roadblocks that prevented you from advertising in these prominent locations.
Zeusvision - Yellow PagesTheir plan: starting October 27th, Zeusvision is sending 40ft buses built from the chassis up with 31ft digital screens on each side and a theatre quality QSC audio system that delivers some of the best sound money can buy. These giant mobile billboards can display any form of multimedia. They combined the effectiveness of TV commercials with the visibility and magnitude of billboards.

Zeusvision was envisioned by Giovanni Wolfgang as a public messaging platform that anyone could use to get their personal message or commercial advertisement out in highly visible public spaces. The buses will be equipped with onboard technologies like GPS, cameras, inertial motion sensors, light sensors, eye tracking, gesture tracking, real-time GPU processing, and other tech packages they are still exploring that allow your graphics and video to interact with the public in ways never dreamed before.

Another feature we are excited about these giant billboards: they are reasonably priced so anyone can afford. With plans as low as $99, anyone can utilize these giant message boards to share their message at any given time.

Our message is rather simple: The average person or business owner should be able to get their message out to the most influential groups of people, in the most sought after geographic locations.” – Giovanni Wolfgang

N2Q has signed up for a beta campaign with Zeusvision so we will be reporting in a few weeks what our experience was like and the feedback we received from our larger than life campaign. To celebrate their vision of “giving the people their voice back,” Zeusvision is giving away free tickets to the 2015 Zeusvision Music Festival for all of the customers that support the Zeusvision Public launch campaign starting on the 27th of October. To learn more or sign up, visit their website: http://www.zeusvision.com.

With a low cost of entry and the flexibility and versatility their digital buses offer, Zeusvision has brought the features we love of digital marketing to real life.

Note: This is a partner post. In exchange for the publicity of Zeusvision’s new service offering, N2Q received free publicity for a limited time on one of their public buses.
